The Z06 and the FGT are a lot closer than you think. I have a video that I have of me racing a forum member on here 4 consecutive times in his FGT. We raced 4x in a row from a 50-160 and it was very close each time with me being ahead EVERYTIME at the top end. If he wishes to chime in, he can. Lets just say he owns the FGT forums and knows what he is doing, so driver error is out of the question. Does that mean the Z06 is the faster car due to my experience? Probably not. On a different day, maybe the outcome would have been reversed, I don't know.
Also, the best I have seen out of a FGT is an 11.6 with dr's on. Not saying that is the best it can do, but that is the best I have seen on the internet with a video. I have beaten that in my bone stock Z06 on the stock run flats, and I have the video also. Bottom line is that I have seen, over and over again, vids of Z06's running mid-low 11's bone stock. Show me one video of a FGT doing that.
You can say all you want about the GT vs. Z06, but since you dont own either one and have never raced them against one another, your take on which one is faster is worthless with zero credibility.

I creamed a c6z06 in my gts with simple bolt-ons, 5 different runs, 3 different nights. Yes, the Z owner can drive his car just fine.

In terms of muscle cars Dodge dominated in the 60s and 70s with the 426, that was R&D, time and $$$ spent, these days they throw shit on the car that has been invented by other companies and do a shitty job at it. The vette was a 2 seater, far lighter than anything dodge made, but the AC cobra was kicking it's ass in those days. Most people expected 650 HP out of the 08 viper with the VVT. Maybe your too much of a dumbfuck to understand the word "STOCK", because twin turbos producing 1500HP do not fit under that meaning! Last time I looked you dont have a new 600hp Viper in your driveway unless you stole it from the show. The new vette will be there shortly after the Viper so the comparison is valid. You just want to show an apples to oranges comparo. The vette is coming we just don't show our cards to the competition.
The earliest possible production date I have heard for the Blue Devil (quoted by GM sources, not wishful thinking Vette owners) is the summer of '08; at least one full year AFTER the Gen IV Viper. So, how is comparing the Gen IV (absolutely coming out this summer) to the the Blue Devil (MAYBE coming out a full year later) an apples to apples comparison?? Why is it that when the Viper is poised to recapture the crown (which the vette guys only held for two of the last 16 years), the Vette guys say we have to compare it to a mysterious "super Vette" that is nothing but vapor at this point instead of what will be in the showrooms in '07.
Then there's this... According to GM, the Blue Devil will be limited to 1500 units per year for a two year run, that's it. If that's true, once you add HUGE dealer mark-ups to the $100k+ sticker price, you will have an out the door price in Ford GT territory or even higher. The sad truth is, assuming the Blue Devil actually comes to fruition, is that to 99% of current Vette owners, the Blue Devil will be an unobtainable tease that they will never have a real hope of owning.

What the fuck are you talking about? In recent GT road racing, the vette has struggled to crack into the top 5 while there are usually 3 Vipers inside the top 5. Get off your knees and accept Viper dominance. They had to figure Quarter Mile times of the Competition when they designed the 08 Viper. I am hoping the new Viper is faster then the Z.
