You are correct, onerareviper. I did not think about that at the time. I was really trying to bid on it for a friend of mine here or even possibly for myself. Then, I panicked because my wife's bid went in too high and at that point, I thought he might not want it. After some time passed, I decided to just buy it myself if he did not want it. My first statement about selling it for 2k more than I bought it for, was merely a "knee jerk" reaction, figuring it would cover my costs. I did not think things through yet. As it turned out, the friend of mine from this forum was thrilled to find out that I bid with him in mind and is buying the car at 76k from the dealer. I contacted the dealer and hooked up this member of our forum.
Yes, I made his christmas just like Mike Robbins at Ringgold made mine. My friend is thrilled to say the least. The dealer is happy as well that I did what I did and is very appreciative that I was going to buy the car if my friend did not want it. It's a good Christmas in the land of Sadistic, this year.
I'm sorta confused here. If you have a viper and few vette's and probably other toys as well, does 2,000 bucks really make that big of a difference? You were comfortable paying 74, but not 76?
I guess I don't understand how the 2,000 dollars was really that significant of an issue. Either way, nothing worse than entering a wrong bid when you're all exicted to buy something. I've bought many cars on ebay. So far, only been screwed over once. Motor blew in car 30 miles after getting it home.
I wasn't sure if my friend would go for 76 but i knew he would go for 74. It all worked out so there isn't a problem. Everybody is happy except for the few people bitching about it on the forums. Dealer - happy, my friend - happy, myself - happy. Can we stop complaining and overevaluating what happened? Nobody got screwed and nobody ever was going to get screwed. I did not make a penny on it.
Some of the members on VCA were whining like downtrodden whores. I expect this type of effeminate behavior from the notoriously gay vette owners on corvette forum, but not from Viper owners. I stated it before; my wife put up a bid that was a bit higher than I was comfortable with but if my friend elected not to buy it, I was going to stand by my actions and buy it myself.

Well, as long as great deals are happening on ebay for Vipers, all of you can count on me grabbing them and hooking up my fellow Alley members. I'm a veritable hero, for god's sake! You can call me Sadi Claus!
I'll take some pics as soon as I can. There are some really good pics of a blue/silver on VCA from a member there. I believe he is a member here as well. I'll try to take some good ones this coming week.
For all the doubters and whinners, STFU. I have been very busy right before the holidays and When I got back in town I found out a friend of mine (sadistic) had bid on this car which he knew I wanted one like it but didnt want to pay the high prices they where bringing. He got a little nervous when he couldnt get a hold of me,lol. He thought he might have to buy it himself or move it. Luckily for me we got in contact in time. If that isnt a good friend and a stand up guy I dont know what is. It is truly an awesome Christmas and going to be start of a good new year. Thanks to the people who supported Sadistic and prasied him for his actions.
Yes Yes I know Sad, next time Im in Florida I owe you a very nice Dinner!!!!
I know this is off subject, but does anyone know if John is involved with the new ASC Diamondback Viper project Mc Laren is involved with? And if so does he plan to double the hp like most other Hennessey Vipers...cuz I would love to see the test stats.

Come on now, not all Vette owners are gay not as many as say Porsche owners. So how do like the Viper? It's been a bit of a wait, right? I'm loving mine slightly over my 06 Z06. Good luck bro.
I love the Viper, more so than I even expected to. I had the opportunity to buy a Z06 1 month ago at msrp but didn't like it at all. Not all vette owners are gay and corny bastards (you certainly are not), but the percentage is alarmingly high. I own 2 vettes and yet I am willing to admit that it is a dork car. Douchebags are drawn to them by the droves.
