whats a dr. owned 39k mi. '03 SRT w/max care ext. warr. worth?
I've got a pretty good deal located and was wondering what you guys thought it's worth? Just like the title said its an '03 w/39k mi. on it. Two owner car. The last owner has had it for 3 years. It has an extended warranty from dodge that covers it to 85k mi. or 2010. Cosmetically nearly flawless. I was wanting a low mileage one, but if I can get this one cheap enough, then I may do it. Thanks for any input--Andy
I've never seen an SRT with this many miles. Good to know that it was driven, but it's resale value took a nose dive. I saw a red 03 with 22K Miles go for $47K, but that is the only thing comparable that I know of. What is the asking price on the car? I think you shouldn't be paying anything over low 40's.
Well if that Dr. is me it is bound to appreciate as I am fucking famous in the Papua New Guinea Highlands (but not so much in the lowlands).
Because doctors bay their cars and are very respectable people, they would never take their cars to the track or drift on the way to work in the morning, and there is no chance one would have ever have completely blown the engine.
And doctors keep their cars clean too..........right Doc?
But a lawyer's car is the one to buy since it is illegal to speed and drive recklessly. To do so would be violative of the Jurist's Oath to uphold and obey the law.
i only speakthe truth...and I owned an 03....the o3 srt is the least desireable, a red 03 is even less desireable...add 39k miles and you got the highest mileage 03 srt on the market...considering you can get luck and pick up a 12,000 mile 03 for 47 or so, I would value this car at 40 tops...
and I dont give a flying fuck who owned this car..doctor,judge,ceo of a fortune 500 company, it doesnt mean shit when you are buying a high mile car
well put zen, but the guy flat-lined 20 minutes ago when you told him what his car was worth.
Actually he wasn't far off, but I think I'm going to pass on it anyways. I could have bought it for $41,250. Which despite the higher mileage, isn't that bad of a deal for someone. And the way some people talk about vipers having "high mileage" at just 39k mi. makes the viper seem less reliable than it really is. A porsche 911TT is just broken in at 39k. They sell all the time w/that many miles. Another thing is, no matter how many miles the srt gets, I'm sure just like the Gen I's, they'll never hit below $30k, no matter how old or how high the mileage is, so an $11250 loss over a long period of time is not bad at all for a car like that! But being patient has paid off. I've found a couple for right at $47k+/-, 03's/04's w/low mileage which I think is the route I'm going to go. Thank you to those who did help though--Andy
The warranty can only be transferred once. If it is a two owner car and was transferred before (which sounds logical) then you are SOL. Sorry.
I've talked to dodge about this and I believe you are mistaken. That's solely on the '04's based on the people I've talked to. The '03's can be transferred to any and all owners. Also, in this case, it's the "max care" warranty, which is an extended warr. , not the factory warr.

That's not what the paperwork I sent in for my warrantee transfer said but if Dodge is OK with it that's all that matters. Good for you just get it in writing.
