Shifter Knobs

I was asked to put on pics of the different knobs I have for the mopar hurst shifter. I really like the hurst shifter -very quick shifts. Big difference over stock

All three have Viper logo. You can get the Viper logo in 3D on Mgw knobs

First pic is the Hurst ball type -I like the looks of this knob but I needed a little more leverage. For me a little to short.

Second pic is the mgw first strike-Has a good feel-like a handle

Third pic is the mgw gripper round knob-very nice -good feel -I use it more than other knobs.

The mgw knobs are at 4" in height including shaft.

I have the gripper and really like it. I'm getting ready to install the SVS shifter in the next week or so with a 1 inch lower bolt. Hopefully it won't be too short.

You may not have a problem with the gripper. Is your gripper the old style or the new with longer shaft.

I wanted the svs but during the summer it was going to take a few months to get one. They say it is a great shifter.

Are you going from the top or bottom of Viper with install.

Be sure and put on a thread about the install, and how you like svs.

I'm fairly sure it is the short one since it was purchased in 04.

We will likely do the install from underneath since we will be installing 3:55 gears at the same time. Underneath sounds like the way to go if you have a lift and transmission jack.

I installed from the top. Wanted to install from bottom but i needed a lift

I had the 3.55 installed couple of months ago. Man I love it. Have to shift out of low sooner. It really helped my Viper from the roll. One of best mods ive made. Also-Oh how it turns higher gears on. Viper is much quicker.
