Moton Club Sports will be installed soon on my 2006 Coupe. The spring rate is front 500 and Rear 800.
Those of you using motons-could you share with me the compression and rebound settings your using.
I will not be road racing the Viper. Maybe once or twice a year I will take it to drag strip. So mainly for street use ,and the roads are very good in our area.
I would also like to hear from those who have slammed their Vipers with the motons and the compression and rebound settings used.
I ran mine on the stiffest setting in the rear, and mid in the front. The car still rode extremely well, and had no bottoming out at all. It is hard to have the wrong setting with them.
Thanks Tucker--I believe yours was slammed-I was looking at the pics of your red one sold a few months ago. Man what a Viper.
It was suggested to me
rebound front and rear--3
compression rear--4
compression front --3
These settings are with about 1" lowering-probably need to be like you mentioned for slammed viper. I love the Viper slammed. My viper is slammed now with performance springs but I need to be able make adjustments.
Since I have not used motons before-how are adjustments made-does rims have to be taken off or car jacked for one of the adjustments.

Thanks for the compliments on the red car. I loved it so much, it is about time to build another one.
On the wheel question, you don't need to take the wheels off to do the hieght adjustment. Jackstands, or a lift will work just fine. Rebound on them is all about where you mount them. I could get to my rears from behind the car, and to the front from the engine bay.
One of my problems is the tires-they are Pirelli 18 & 19 " the rears are 355/25/19-these tires are at least 1/2" shorter than stock. So in slamming the Viper it sets very low- under 3" in front jack points. Probably will have to, with the Pirelli tires, come up a little higher.
But one good thing I can make adjustments with the motons.
Adam in Louisville Ky will do the moton install. I believe he will post how to pics.
That looks great--I wanted the Pirelli l9 & 20" but you could not find them at that time.
My next tire change I am going with the 19 and 20. That should be about this time next year.
Tucker--I got my Viper in early July-If I had known about your red one I would have seriously considered buying it from you. By the time one purchases the mods--Yours, with all those mods, would have been a good buy.
Yes Kenny that is me-in fact I just turned 72. Had a few other hot cars in my life but the Viper is the best looking best performing car ive ever owned. Amazing automobile.
I know this is off my topic but bare with the old man. I have been around out board motor boat racing a big part of my life. Sold the boat and got the Viper. My son and I got out of racing boats because it was a very dangerous sport, but I tell you this the Viper is one mean machine that you must respect. If one does not respect it they are in for trouble-big time.
Kenny when I first got the Viper I went out with a friend to a old country road to see what it would do. I rev the engine to around 3000 rpm let out on the clutch and went Wot and that thing went wild-took all I could do to keep it out of a corn field. Right after it was over I asked my passenger if he had to go to the bath room and he said "nope I just did" - I told him -same here I learned a lesson very very fast. Also got rid of the run flats, I think some of you younger ones call them run craps, real quick.
I am doing pretty good for my age. I feel better since Ive had the Viper. It put a little spark in me. My wife says she thinks she will buy me two more Vipers.
Now let me get back on topic-cant wait to get the motons installed. Maybe they will help keep me out of the corn fields.
Blue Streak, that is truly awesome. I figured you were another 30 something on the boards. I too hope that in 40 years I still have the sparkle in my eyes. Great stuff.

Awesome. When I got my Viper a bit over a year ago (I was 30), the Viper tech told me something to the effect of 1 out of every 6 Vipers is involved in a single car accident on the first day. I don't know if that's true, but it sounds good. If you're not ready for it, the car can definitely hand you your ass.
Kenny your right. I know you have been reading threads about Viper accidents. Some of those by certain ones at dealerships or other mechanic shops that take the Viper for a joy ride. But most dealerships or shops will not do that.
Its the torque. Ive had a few muscle cars but not one with the torque of the Viper. The older muscle cars I had were lot heavier.
I was on my way to Arkansas to Elite Motors that sells exotic cars. I had the choice between a new ZO6 and the Viper. The Vette was above invoice and the Viper was way under . In fact they were coming out at about the same price. I drove them both. The Vette was a great car but to me for looks and torque and handeling and other things I chose the Viper. In fact the minute I walked into elite motors the Vette and Viper were on the show room floor. As soon as I saw the Viper I said to myself this is it-got to have it. Havent regretted my choice for one second.
Kenny I am having a ball with my Viper. Its like getting into the cockpit of a jet fighter plane. Jump in the thing a go out for a few dog fights. I miss it-probably have it back next week.
Ive got to cut down on length of my responses. Its hard to do especially when you have a Viper.

Those with motons-where are your front cannisters mounted. Would like to have them under the hood area but dont want to have nitrogen taken out to get cannisters installed in this area.
