I have done searches and all I find is old info. Anyone know of any side by side comparrisons? This is confusing as hell reading all the BS on their site - of course they all say they are the best. Any help out there or do I just throw a dart.
From what I've read, most go with Corsa Track. I think the best way you're going to be able to make your decision is to find a few Vipers in your area and listen to their exhausts.
It all depends on what you want. The first decision you need to make is whether or not you want/need to keep cats. Then you need to decide if you want a 2.5" or 3" exhaust.
I have a Mopar Race exhaust on my car (no cats, 3"). I had to put some exhaust cones in upstream of the muffler to get rid of droan and lower the db level. It's got a great sound now, but it's pretty loud and would get really old if you were driving it everyday. It's perfect for when you want to go out and make noise though.
Also depends on whether or not you want to be loud at idle. From my experience around vipers, the Corsa systems are very quiet at idle, and not too loud driving , its when u get on the gas that the corsa gets real loud. I have heard that the mopar race is pretty loud across the board, but I've never heard it in person
It still sounds like a my father in law's former daily driver - a brown delivery truck - until about 4K rpms.
It does pop nicely when you let off the throttle though.
Boplaw,
I find your comparison of the sound of my SRT-10 to a UPS truck to be hurtful, degrading and possibly racist. When would you like to get together and discuss a settlement?
I started with 3" RT cats and Corsa track (very loud ), added
Vortex cones, better but still real loud and raspy. Went to
B&B with cross over, nice rumble at idle and not too loud
otherwise, liked it. Sold that car(05) and now have an 04
Paxton with stock cats 2.5" Corsa Track, a bit louder than
the B&B but great sound and still have some popping on
decel and for what ever reason the side sills are cooler than
the other setups. In the 3k to 5k+ range it is music to the
ears.
I removed my cats and added Burns mufflers to the stock exhaust with Belangers. Burns is a very high quality hand made stainless steel piece that both Heffner and DLM use. Garys Big Red is running 4 burns mufflers only. I can not wait to hear that beast next week. At part throttle the car is quiet and cruising at a steady 80mph again very easy on the ears. Half throttle and more sounds real sweet so I like this combination. Sounds a lot better then it did last year in Bradenton.

I would like to run catless, but we have pretty strict emission's here in the mormon capital!!!
