I just heard something interesting last night and one of my friends is going to put plexi glass on his coupe. He said that he wanted to shed some weight and the glass was the first place to start. He only did the rear window that was the size of opera but just wondering what exactly that will do for the performance and will you see any gain in handleing at all. It takes away more weight from the top of the car and puts more weight ratio to the bottom making it a better center of gravity car correct? Anyone heard of this on a regular street car? He doesn't race just wants less weight for the street. He also has already done the exhaust and so forth......

Hey word of advice for you V10kingsnake, don't call someone a dumbass unless you know who they are. You don't know me, probably will never know me because you have not made a good impression. The reason why he is lightening up the car is done for several reasons. First it is because it is a passion of his and he is has always had that weird quirk about him, second it does give you better handleing dumbass on the road and on the street. And yes he does race on the street and occasionally down to the track with it is a "street car".
So like Tanked said, it will loose 200lbs!! With the power to weight ratio he is looking down the Z06's door in performance numbers. All because of a lexan window instead of glass we lost 200 lbs. and now have more weight to power ratio I am a dumbass. HAHAH what a tool!! And you call me the dumbass? Hmm?
