A new viper SRT-10 "special Edition" that looks bad ass
Saw this at the morg. I think it looks sick, since its an official chrysler special edition too that makes it even better. its a slate vert with powdercoated rims, snakeskin stripes and interior. they said there going to make 11 or so. enjoy the pics
Im sorry, but that is fucking hideous. All of that snake skin bullshit looks like it came straight out of a ricer/lowrider. I will admit, if the stripes were a normal black with no snake skin airbrushing, the outside would look pretty damn good. Not too keen on those wheels either.
Not DC. It is Prefix. The snakeskin stripes are difficult to see from more than a few feet away. They look like solid stripes.
The wheels and front splitter looked very nice to me. I could bypass the interior but it was very well done.
While we were there a customer picked up a copper coupe with the same style stripes. They looked very nice. Did not look ricer like.
The copper coupe with black stripes you speak of is HAWT (minus the snake skin airbrushing in the stripes and the ironing board they have setting on the rear). The seats in that coupe along with the front splitter are tits.
The last Raffle car in orange was the first car they did this on, and what is not apparent in the pictures is that the Snakeskin look of the stripes is similar to the texture of a ghostflame -- not readily clear until up closer. Though I personally though the idea of snake skin inserts in the seats would also look heinous, it also , in actual execution is nicely done. Not a fan of the Slate Gray Pearlcoat also being applied to the wheels, but maybe this could be a delete option. Prefix does all the stripes on Vipers, as well as assisting with the engine mods on the VOI9 cars ( for those that selected such ) , so they are a direct contractor just like ASC, etc. The maximum on this custom car is only 20, and there is a strong likelyhood it will less just due to the limited number of Slate Gray Convertibles available. We will probably do a few, but of course we are working on getting them pre-sold, so we can speed up the process.
Though I understand the feeling, by some, of " Oh boy, another Limited Edition," I think this is more in the vein of a custom model, and I am sure hoping it is the wave of the future, where we as Viper owners can get truly unique models, as they are built, somewhat, to our personal specifications

Enough with the freakin special editions that are nothing more than a few paint mods... HOW about some Power! that would be special. DC should hook up with someone like Heffner and offer a TT mod that can be ordered from the factory like the old B2K that got you a Callaway TT Vette.

That would be a great idea, but I doubt DC will ever do something like that. They for the most part see the tuners as "extra" for the person to decide themself. I have to admit because everybody wants something different, you would need an extensive "options" program if something like that were to happen. As much as it might seem on here, not everyone is out for big 1000+ HP cars. Plus with all the newer Vipers being cast cars the most a customer can get is about 720 RWHP without having to forge and build the motor.

But that is the kinda thing Callaway did. You got one horsepower option and if you wanted more send it to him later but atleast you would have something a little extra. Hell ford does it with Saleen and Roush. DC should step up!
