Larger Plenum(sp???) short runners Good for high rpm HP. Maybe we will see a rev limit of 6,500 to 7,000rpm. TB seem to be much larger as well. Are these new heads and block too? Valve covers are not the same. I don't know about SRT's but the oil fill cap is on the passengers side of my GTS. This one in on the driver's side.

I think it is a fuel rail between the intake and the valve cover too

Check out how the coolant line comes from the Radiator....way different. New block???? Maybe they fixed the oiling issue.

No cross in front.

The air box looks goofy. But it almost looks like it seals against the hood.

What is that on the right hand side by the valve cover...but to the left of the yellow cap; the brake booster looks like it is behind what ever that is? Part of a dry sump system?

I like the hood vents....nice touch.

Just read that the thread and pic had been deleted because SRT saw it and wanted it deleted. Its must be the real deal.

Austin and anyone else that can chime in:

If this is believed to be the real deal, then with that engine set up (it appears the new hood "seals" with the airbox), that would mean there will be no major overhaul of the overall design.

Could it be we have another 3-5 years of SRT styling left?

Blowing the pic up..it almost looks like NO throttle bodies (!) Just some hoses and cone-shaped bits in front.

How about individual butterflies for each port?

Thats an answer I dont have. I dont think the hyped 650 HP engine will be in the '08 Viper, but I do believe it will have some kind of HP increase. I dont think we'll see larger HP number increases until the GEN IV.

It would appear the rumors I heard that the 08 will just have a different fascia and hood are correct. The intake/motor changes should be interesting.

This usually happens in the automotive industry. They test new mules under old skin....The new Nissan GT-R was tested under a G35 coupe body...I remember a while back seeing an E36 BMW M3 parked at LAX (L.A. airport). What was different was it had 4 tailpipes...I walked up to it and looking inside, the shifter bad 6-speeds (as opposed to 5). There was also black cladding on the hood.

I asked the guy standing next to it (guess he was there picking someone up) if this was the next M3...he just kinda looked at me, smiled and looked away...pretty much not saying anything.

I think the '08 Viper skin will be completely new...

True, I can't find the thread, but someone posted pics of the enzo's engine tested in the skin of a 348.

SRT and Dodge dont want anybody to see it. So they had Flanders delete the pic and thread on the Morg about it:

http://www4.forum.viperclub.org/show...b=5&o=&fpart=1

Like anybody really gives a crap about what the new viper motor looks like. Maybe DCX and SRT will send MP a "cease and desist letter" telling him to take the pic off the alley. wouldnt that be nice.

the pic was taken with a cell phone, as its obvious that no one would be allowed around the car with a camera hanging from their neck, like asians at the grand canyon.

Source for the info? Is this the '08 car you're talking about? Hopefully the aesthetic mods will come with a power bump and some weight reduction.
