SRT / GTS expected depreciations?
(This is a repost because it applies to both 2nd and 3rd gen forums)
Well, it is clear that the GTS's 96-02 have held their value much better than the SRT third gens, but now I'm not sure too much what to think from now.
I'm in the market to buy a car, hopefully between 50-60. I was originally thinking of an 01/02 good condition GTS, but I just recently started checking out some values on the SRT's. I've owned a 99 RT/10 before, so a change in generation might be nice. I think the styling is better on the GTS, but the SRT is tempting from a performance standpoint, and interior being better.
Any suggestions for that?
And finally, where are values expected to go on these things? I would think that it woudl be hard to see the SRT's go for much LESS the the older GTS's, I ahve a feeling this overproduction might drag the 2nd gen's down with them. I don't see many peolpe paying more for less HP, less handling, less braking, and an overall older car. There must be others like me out there now taking interest in the SRT's now that they have come down to nearly identical value as the nice condition 01/02 GTS.
