Dodge Car cover stains white stripes on Viper AAARRGGHH!!!
Pathetic.
I leave on a business trip for 3 days and slap the car cover on at my buddies house , since i was leaving the car there (the cover is one included by Dodge with the vehicle) . When I get back it had been raining. As I take the cover off I have big beautiful brownish (color of the cover) stains on the white stripes.
Nothing is taking it off.
I took it to an expert and he will try with a very stong compound tomorrow. I am so upset right now. the dealer said they will re paint it if needed but that is a hassle beyond belief for me.
The car detailer said that the cover was probably not treated right and the dye dripped . He asked if there were any instructions to wash the cover first. I see nothing in the manual and nothing in the car cover bag. Everyone i have spoken to has never heard of this. I feel like making someone at Dodge eat the car cover AAARRRGGGHH!!!

That really stinks. They should give you a new car, not repaint.
Hopefully they can buff the stains out.

I got it fixed and it cost me $210.00 . It was a massive amount of work by the detailer but he got the job done.
The cover has two black stripes that mimick the stripes on the car, this is the dye that ran.
BTW I blew the water pump early this afternoon so my run of bad luck with this Viper continues

Dayum, sorry to hear about all the trouble. I have one of the MOPAR covers for my RT, but only use it in the garage. I wonder if the logos, et al, could bleed down in rain?

Ford GT= Garage queen
I will guard the GT with my life
One good thing is that Dodge road side service was pretty good, they called back about half a dozen times to make sure I was squared away with the tow truck.

I would try to get Dodge to foot bill for the stripes.

Second that. I'd be raising hell with someone at DC.

Damn, that sucks. At least the stains came out. DC should definately be footing the bill for this.
