I think its a good thing that the vipers are selling in the 60's and a few in the 50's, this makes them a much better value than the new Z06. Slightly slower but that is easily changeable. If the interior was a bit more user friendly this car would remain the king.
If dodge can afford to sell them now for that price I dont really think they are losing all that much money. I think the newer models should target and beat the Z06 to revive the viper as america's number one. I am a vette owner (TT C5) but these Z06 guys are pissing me off with all the chatter. Daimler needs to fight back. NOW
Changes to these things would give the viper back its prestige.
Roomier Interior
More Exotic Styling
Better Suspension
Move the exhaust from burning calves.
I am a car dealer in the Dallas area and follow the viper market . A pristine car with low miles [2-5k] can be bought in the mid fifties.. These are no-pick garage queens.. The mileage and condition are the key factors.. I have yet to see a great one in the low fifties.. As far as any in the 40's.. Must be salvage title or high mileage beater
TX, thanks for speaking from a dealers perspective. Some of the kiddos don't really understand the market. It is always something like this....I was on my friends mom's boyfriend's computer under his ex-wife's daughter's password, and we saw this 2006 SRT selling for 40,000. They don't understand things like reserves, and bids over invoice, and then some dealers also remove the adds when their reserves aren't met. Everyone looking for a Viper in the 40s needs to look at an older GTS in a common color.
ME! haha. Today I turn 18. Doesn't really mean anything, but just thought I would let some of my friends on here know! (which means all of you!) haha. Thanks for reading my pointless thread!
fucking douche. read some posts and see if I am jealous of your imaginary friends 40 thousand dollar SRT.
You must not be able to read, because I do believe I said $70k. Think what you want, but Im not you average teenager lurking hoping one day I can own such a car.

Wow, you are a fucking idiot, since that was near a year and half ago. I never said I bought the car now did I. My friend did, so, what does a post of my age have ANYTHING to do with what my friend paid for his car?
One of my friends just bought an '06 SRT-10 Coupe Blue with White Racing stripes that had 200 miles on it for $70k.
This was your quote you stupid little fuck. Your friend may have paid 79,999 on a car that had been previously titled. There is absolutely no one selling brand new coupes, blue and whites for that matter, for 70K. Go have mommy read you a nighty night story, and dream of 70K hopping over fences.
I never said it was a dealer either. It was from a 60 yr old guy in Florida who did not want the car anymore and I'm sorry, because I was mistaking. He offered $70k, but the guy said no, and he ended up paying $77k for it. I still believe that to be one hell of a deal.
Fine if you don't believe me, we're going to pick the car up today, so if you'd like, when we get back, I can post pics, and put a little quarter or whatever bullshit proof y'all would like.
Remember when DC announced the SRT10, wasn't there some talk on how it was much cheaper to build because they did away with the clamshell hood. At the time the gen2's were going for @ 62-65,000. Then the SRT price comes out at 80+ and everyone was in shock. I guess the market soon or later sets the price.
Actually, do all of us southerners a favor: Read, don't write.
Nothing further.
Oh my gosh, misspelled a word.
And just what stereotype is it that I am solidifying?
And also, I referred to y'all because there was more than one person talking to/about me. Sorry if I don't say you all, I am from the south, so I will talk like it.
Some (not all) Viper people just think they are so much better and think that they know everything. Truely sad...
I don't see why some of Y'ALL have to be so fucking rude and mean all the time. I think I helped out around here by helping people with carfax reports. Hell, one guy ended up buying a car because I got the report him, from this forum. It's not like I came here to bash and shit, hell I was just putting some information out there, CORRECTED myself, and still, some of you want to be childish by pulling up over year old post. Anyway, some of you need to take a chill pill.

LOL I was wondering that too. Never seen such blatant bashing and childishness as goes on here. I just assumed people knew each other personally and cracked on each other for the fun of it. But oh well (Flame suit ...ON!!!!
