Very nice, I really like black SRT-10s. Excellent choice............if you do end up changing the wheels let me know when you want to get rid of those "crappy" rims
Nice car. My car is at RSI right now. Was the motor built by RSI? I know they will make that kind of HP with a Paxton, but on a stock motor? RSI advised me that anything over 750 hp at the crank was pushing it, based on the weak bottom end. Details please. By the way, black/black looks great but there are better wheels out there...just my .02.
I used to really be against 'R' type lips on Vipers. I didnt start liking them until about 5 months ago when I actually saw some on an SRT and a GTS when I was at RSI. I have to say, the Viper looks really nice with an 'R' style lipped wheel; especially the SRT. I dont think the 'R' lip is for every car/wheel, but for most it looks damn good.
just got home from getting the car, 660 miles and my ass is killing me. theres a huge difference in the seats(mainly the bolsters) between the srt and the gts. i ended up sitting on my tail bone most of the time.
car ran fine, i noticed some weird little things though. i dont know what pulley is on the car but during the middle of the day it builds about 1-2lbs of boost. at night, its anywhere between 3-5 lbs. i guess i need to find out what size pulleys paxton makes because i would drop boost with ported heads and the exhaust.
another thing, i believe the srt is a speed density car? in other words, it reads pressure without a mass air meter? im wondering if the difference in boost is because the nitrous foggers dont look to be sealed. its pressurized at the intake tube(see motor pic) so i could possibly be loosing boost there.
joshm,
i will be selling the hres in favor of a larger rim, probably the 847s or 547s. they will go on sale as soon as i get pricing from my wheel guy.
kllymartin,
yes, the car was built at rsi. i dont know to what extent(the guy didnt have the reciepts on him when i picked the car up), so ill prolly call them and trace the history with them.
evil,
ya thats el paso. driving through town, you could spit from your window and hit mexico. the guy just lives in the upscale part.
