Well it does make the car sound better and the tip looks better than the factory one. What the hell dodge was thinking with all that cross over crap? Did they just have a bunch of extra pipe they needed to use up? I don't see what benefit it had.

I was told it had to do with reducing the noise level to meet federal requirements.

Side-pipes are drive-by louder than rear exhaust.

I thought it was so it didn't sound like a 5 cylinder from the sides.

That might be. It is still a hell of a lot more quiet than the 427 Z06 we had.

i was to elimanate the UPS truck sound of an inline 5 that the gen I cars had. and to help with the drive by noise. the sound tuning of the Corsa elimanates this sound
