Stupid Question

I know this has been covered before, and I did a search but didn't find what I was looking for, but ...

I will not be driving the Viper for the entire month of April and the first half of May. It will be sitting in the garage. Should I disconnect the battery?

I remember something about a way to shut things down using the key in the door.

Thanks in advance.

Get an automatic battery tender at any auto store and keep it on a trickle charge.

I pulled off my bicep tendon last summer and could not drive my car for almost 2 Months- w/out trickle charger. It started fine.

I disconnected the battery when I went to New Zealand for 6 months. When I got back, I reconnected the battery and it started right up no problem

Thanks, I think I will go the cheap route.

I'll be in Africa for the entire time, and not the fun Africa where you get to watch wild animals from the safety of a big 4x4. I get to go to the dead kid, a mosquito just carried off that dog, that wasn't a dog it was a rat, there is a dead kid in the hallway again, he's not dead just sleeping, ok he's dead, what the hell was that noise Africa.

Lucky me.

Of course I will take pictures.

Why not just use the power off feature the SRT provides. Easy to do (see manual) - all it takes is cycling the key and then the door lock button. All energy drains except the drivers door (duh!) are eliminated.
