My Viper is back home after having a bunch of mods done to it. I wanted a reliable package that I can put 1,000+ miles on a month and yet still have plenty of ponies to let loose. I brought my car back to DLM who installed the Paxton S/C back in Nov. Since I wanted to turn the boost up to 13lbs we added a forged bottom end, billet rods, polished crank etc and then came time for the heads. I went with the JM Heads with Inconel exhaust valves and a few other recommendations that Doug made. The comp coupe cam is also a nice addition. Doug installed a polished and ported intake & Belanger headers minus the 4 cats. Something that looks great is the remote extra large water cooler in the rear of the car.
For the rear I went with the Quaiffe and had Unitrak install the 3.33 and set up the rest of the rear. To get all this power to the ground I had to go backwards and get 18" rims. At the last minute I got a great deal on HRE 545 and mounted some Kumhos on them. They are awesome tires for this much power.
On the 5th Dyno run using 93 octane, it dynoed at 854rwhp & 788rwtq. The air fuel line was straight as an arrow. I have had many cars dynoed but have never saw a line this flat. Doug told me his custom computer and program with the Aeromotive Fuel System would run fantastic. My ride home from Miami was 297 miles of pure Viper smile. Most of the ride was on the interstate and the car performed flawlessly. On the streets boosting it is fantastic. The sound from the S/C is music to any gearhead's ears.
The whole job took 7 weeks. Gary I am hoping that maybe you can take some pics this weekend. Been playing with the new cam so maybe we can get that hooked up.
I just started to take some pics and I didn't get any good shots of the whole car. But these 2 of the engine and HRE's came out OK. Will be taking some more pics this weekend.
