No goes right in. However, I have been through 4 of them they are having some warranty issues. They will just stop working, get stuck on some pages and not let you change and so on.

Also you will need the 6 disk changer to go with it or you will have to put in and remove the nav disk everytime you start the car and want to listen to another disk.
I like the newer Nav Radio that has a seperate slot for the Nav CD... don't know if those fit Vipers or not but are really sweet.. those Nav systems are awsome.
The install went smooth. The only hard part was finding how to route the antennae to the top of the dash board.
install was a piece of cake, I to installed the antenna on top of the radio, works awesome. If the dash was made of metal then there would be issues of mounting on top of radio, but since its plastic, it works great

Can you guys please clarify before I go back into the dash again.
You plug the antenna cable in and stuck the antenna right on top of the case of the nav unit. Which means that the dash board is between the antenna and the windshield?
Thanks for any reply, I just don't want to open the dash up again.
I just installed the RB1 Nav and you simply put the antenna right on top of the radio frame. It has the sticky tape on it already for you. It "sees" right through the dash no problem.

I will soon be installing too ... where is the best location in the SRT for the CD changer (there's not a lot of space)?
I decided to go with the new Alpine head units, and the Alpine Blackbird in both my truck and the SRT.
Touch screens and a docking station in each vehicle, and I can take the Blackbird in any vehicle (it's a portable unit and comes with a windshield suction mount for using in other people's cars), or just carry it in my pocket.
Much more convenient than installing hard nav units, and the Alpine head units are ipod (I ran an ipod cable in both vehicles, and can control the ipod from the Alpine touchscreens) and bluetooth (no more earpieces) compatible.
