Time to upgrade the stock exhaust. What's the latest with Corsa's and the heat damaged sills due to the exhaust tip alignment issues? I did a SEARCH and it appears there may have been some huge heat related exhaust tip alignment problems a few months back. (damaged paint)

You need to have the tips located to the front of the opening...almost touching. Driverside tip should be closest at eight o'clock, passanger side should be closest at 4 o'clock.

When the pipes get hot they move back (towards the rear of the car) a half inch to an inch depending on how hard you are driving it.

I could see it being an issue if they melted the sills, but the area around the tip is just painted flat black and can be easily touched up, so don't sweat it too much.

When you have them installed make sure you tack weld the muffler to the cat. The strap that holds the muffler to the cat isn't strong enought to keep the muffler in place. The mufflers end up twisting and coming down and resting on the side sill opening. I called corsa and they told me they know of the issue and recommend have the mufflers welding to hold them in place.

mine twisted down...tack welded them and they have stayed where I put them. two or three tacks can be easily ground off later.

Also had to bend the hangers to push the tips further out of the openings....some have used washers to shim the tips outward....now they stick out about 1/4 inch.
