VIPER SRT-10 Track Suspension Setup

I know a few of you guys road race your srts. I was wondering what setup you guys use for the suspension? Camber/Caster that sort of stuff. Also, what tires pressure is recommended? I was at Willow last weak and my rear kept slipping on the wide turn on the main track. I think my rear tire pressure was too high. The car felt like it was hopping.

Thanks

MILF

The _FIRST_ and very best tuning tool is Air Pressure. SRT runflats are VERY pressure sensitive. From all I've read and heard, you do NOT want to start too low. Start with known (recorded) cold pressures, then tune the handling with HOT pressures. After you get things where you like them, record those too. After the tires cool back to dead-cold, record those pressures. Next time you're at the track, start there. As long as ambient conditions are reasonably close, you should be right on the money after a couple of hot laps.

The best way to judge camber is with a pyrometer. Every track will have its own range of camber settings that are in the ballpark, but the longer/harder you pull g's in the corner, the more negative camber you will need. A good rule of thumb is to at least double the factory settings front/rear. As you go faster or run stickier tires, you typically need more negative. However, the pyrometer and measured treadwear are the only way to know for sure. Toe should be slightly out in the front, a bit more in at the rear. Caster is best left at factory settings.
