How reliable is a Paxton viper?

How reliable is a Paxton supercharged viper? It makes 680 to the wheels and was built and tuned by ART. I will be averaging 10k miles a year and do not want it in the shop more than on the road. Any thoughts or experiences?

It's an 04, stock motor. Full exhaust, tuned and blown by ART with 8psi. Entire drivetrain is stock.

get a leakdown test done before buying it, (not compression check) but they are fine, you wont have any issues if you have a good tune. you might want to have the tune looked at by a reputable tuner too

Dave weaver is a great reputable guy. If ART did the car is probably bery good quality. The key to your system being reliable is proper tuning and keeping it a little on the safe side afr wise and timing. Youll get great power and lots of miles out of it with these mods.
Leakdown for sure. Then if you have a known good tuner you may want to retunefor your conditions.
I could even mail order you a tune for that combo. Im very close with dave weaver.

We have done more then 200 of these installs on stock motors and as stated the tune is the part to watch. I would recommend having it checked on the dyno once a year if it is using the Paxton FMU, I have seen the diaphragm fail causing fuel delivery to change and A/F ratios to be off. If you keep an eye on that you will be fine for a long time, we have yet to see one of them fail when close to the stock Paxton tune.
