T56 no matter what you do will not hold upto the tq of a viper. You need an auto. Or a 6060 might last a bit longer. Either way a manual isn't made that can hold the TQ
Car was built with 2000 miles on it back in 07.
I got it with 8,800 miles on it and rolled over 11,000 on the way in.
Is 9,000 miles typical life for a tranny like this?
Yes and no I had a built Viper T-56 in my Trans Am that has ~550whp/525wtq and I lost 3rd then 4th just driving the car. The keys often fail and jam up the gears. Yours might have stamped steel keys, they really need the billet ones to hold up better. Now my TA has a faceplated t6060 in it. Haven't ran it hard on spray yet but it should hold the 800/1000 it makes on dope.
Texas Drive Train does great work, they are in Dallas.
That trans was fresh from mark at g-force. his transmissions have 1600 plus rwhp vipers running them.
Id call him. If you choose to order a t6060. Ill buy this one from you....broken...
For the Gen 3, if you get the TR6060 you'll also need the driveshaft for the TR6060 or you will need to shorten your 03-06 driveshaft. Other than that, it's a direct replacement.
