Ok I went to put the SP600's on my car today and all didn't go as planned. The rear rims need a spacer on them due to the big brake kit. The wheel bolted up but it touched as it was sitting there. No biggie, I can but a super small spacer there.
I am at a loss whether to keep the SSR wheels (sizes 18/18), or put the CCW SP600 on there (sizes 19/20).
Keep in mind the photos are on stock suspension right after it was jacked up so it did not settle yet.
Positives
SSR have a nice meaty rear tire
SP600 front rims look bad ass
Negatives
SSR are only 18's
SP600 rear tire is super small, looks strange to me
So I ask your help. Help me decide which set is going on the car and which set I am selling.
The suspension was just jacked up, didn't settle in the short time the wheels were on the car. I plan on lowering on springs or caps, not both up here in RI. Eventually both. The front rims raised the car 1 inch roughly but it wasn't settled. Once I ride around and the suspension settles ill figure what lowering aid to use.
I got a message from someone on here saying he had no clearance issues with his rear wheels and Daves bbk. Wonder why mine is touching? It definitely was touching, ever so slightly. Only tested one side but definitely touching.
I run 1/4 spacers on mine all the time. I need the spacers when I am running the 01 stocker wheels and I just leave them on with the IForged wheels (don't have to-I checked, just want to).
You're not going to rub with invos damnit!!!!
The car will look great on springs and caps. You will not regret it John.
Now if only you knew someone with springs????
Austin, shop me some astras 19/20 graphite centers. Yep, just like before.
Who thinks Austin's got skills? I do!
