which color combination/year holds its value?

any specific color combination that holds its value better than others? I know toby, blue/white 96-7 right? I've noticed red gts 97-99 seem to resale less than other colors. Is this just b/c there's more of them? I don't know, but I just seemed to notice it.

Re: which color combination/year holds its value?

Blue/White will always be THE classic GTS color. When I am around a group of Vipers, my eye is still drawn to the Blue/White even though I have a yellow one myself. Of course Red is the classic color on the RT/10, though it is also a fairly common color. Past that, I think some of the better looking low production number colors like Graphite which are only offered for 1 year will hold their value better than some of the more vanilla colors like red that span multiple years. Basic law of supply and demand.

KenH, Makes sense, I have a yellow one myself...still love the blue/white combination. Never been a graphite fan, so to me it'll never be that high of "value" to me. Interesting points. Thanks

blue/white no question about it. There are much rarer combinations but there is no better combination.

the ones with side pipes, but seriously I think everyones first thought is blue/white. I also own yellow but I personally like the graphite the best, well maybe second best.

I like the first and last GTS colors. Blue / white and red / blue. The graphite is really nice too. Perhaps if I had a daily driver viper and wanted to be a little more on the down low I would go for a graphite.

If you think about the origional sticker on 93-94 rt10's was about 55-60k
And they can still command 30-40k+ 10-11 years later that is pretty strong.

That Red/Blue one is REALLY rare Alright, you probably meant Red/White and I have to agree that will also be a stable color combination, especially since the factory racing Vipers sported that color combo.

The problem with colors like Yellow is that they tend to go in and out of favor with the buying public (remember when pastel colors on cars was in?). People think they are the greatest thing since sliced bread one year and you can hardly give them away the next, whereas something like the Blue/White will always stay in favor.

Re: which color combination/year holds its value?

I think the following will be very desirable:

1. Any of the whites (96 and 98)

2. The 1997 Blue/White RT/10

3. Black always does very well...but this will take a long time

4. Silver/Blue striped GTS, especially the ACR's

5. Any ACR's...even red ones...butt especially the yellow/black ones

6. The "one year" colors...Steel Grey, Sapphire, Graphite

7. While the Blue/White are by far the coolest color combo, the truth is, there are a crap load of them...Low mileage, bone stockers will be collectable, but only the 1996 model year...

The bottom line is, that our Vipers are all going to be collectable, with such low production numbers...but I think the ACR's will do the best, over the long term...

I love them all!!

Naturally I like the blue/wht the best. Then I would have to say the sapphire with silver stripes, then the graphite/silver, then the final red/white. What can I say, I love the stripes.

to them all.

Silver/Blue is very rare, and seems to command a higher price. Lucky for me....

Re: which color combination/year holds its value?

chip, peer pressure....I was just curious...I don't plan on getting the color based on it's value, I just wanted to know what colors were valued higher...I'm taking my time and I know you hate it.... and all you hear from me is blah blah blah, but I will get another one when the facy strikes me right... :smooch
I'm actually in the process of maybe striking a deal with selling mine.

I will let you drive mine on Sunday. My wife wants a RT/10 (I don't) so I might tease her and let her ride in yours!

Doh!! I've been a little out of it recently. No... red and blue is a really cool combo, trust me.
