Well I was an idiot and got burned on my Viper purchase. New to the Viper world, didn't really know anyone to inspect an out of state car, impatience, etc... Costly mistake, but I'm done bitchin about it, take it in stride and moving on. Lots of work, all done personally. Not a salvage title, maybe should have been, but the right front rail was tweeked. Had the whole front sectioned. Luckily my neighbor up the street is Eddie Martin the viper tech at Bill Luke Dodge here in Phx. Can't say enough about him, just a class act and has really helped me out. Same goes for 99 RT/10 on here too. Mike is way cool and has been my personal parts department lately! Thank you Mke! Beside the frame work, which was overseen by Eddie and made perfect, I did 99% of all the disassembly and 100% of the reassembly all in the garage. I had never even sat in a Viper before I bought mine. My fricken external hd crashed and I lost alot of the "along the way" pictures, but here's some pix when I first got it. I put in woodhouse poly motor and trans mounts, b&m shortshifter, new clutch, mgw knob, smooth tubes, k&ns, HIDs and a borla catback when I put it back together.
Sexy! This wouldn't happen to be the car that was on Autotrader for a while for $28k or so, would it? I remember seeing a black and white GTS that had had a run-in with a curb or something a while back.
Either way, congrats! My car was far from perfect when I got it but I got what I could afford at the time and haven't regretted it for a second!

same here
mine probably should have been totaled but it was fixed well enough
I thought I got a steal but as I dug deeper into the car I found out why I got such a good deal
but I 'm still glad I got it because it is a GTS and I only had a gen1 budget
it great that you got it and could fix it right and keep another Viper on the road
Haven't lost interest yet. If anything I know the car inside and out now or atleast a whole lot more than when I started. I figured I would catch hell for that light, but I thought the background was pretty cool in that picture. Off to fix that light! Thanks everyone...
damn, I almost bought that car. Good luck man, sounds like it is going a lot smoother now
Thanks. Lucky you, lots of work to get it back to road wothy. I just clay bar'd and waxed it. Shines up like a new penny!

Eventhough it is the skunk combo, I hadn't come across a black and white striped one. I dig it though. With all the bad that came with the car, the positve comments are appreciated fellas. Thanks!
