Gas Pedal Removal

Maybe because the heat index was insane last night - and I had no patience - but can anyone here tell me how to remove the gas pedal? I have a new set that arrived - and can get everything but the gas pedal...

Looks like it is just rivets under it... And the manual sends you in circles...

Anyone give me the unedited version on how to remove?

Thanks!

Re: Gas Pedal Removal

Do you literally mean the pedal itself? Just push out the pin holding it on the assembly. I think you push from right to left, but can't remember. Mine used to fall off everytime I let a Corvette owner drive the car (no exaggeration, I think she was pissed or something).

Re: Gas Pedal Removal

Open the hood and on the footwell area there are (4) 10mm nuts to loosen and then the pedal gets free. Then there is a clip that Schillinger mentioned. It has a little plastic retaining toungue, move it to the side and the cable slips out.
