Question Best Gear Ratio???

Would appreciate some recommendations regarding the best gear ratio to get the most out of my Viper. '98 GTS Venom 650R, 560 RWHP, 565 RWTQ, TNT short shifter, Fidanza alum. flywheel, stock clutch. Tired of the bucking at low speeds and not being able to use 5th or 6th gear on the highway without exceeding the speed limit excessively. Want to keep wheel spin to a minimum from a standing WOT start. UNITRAX has 3.21, 3.33 and a 3.45 that I think would be the best bet. Does anyone have any experience with these ratios they can share as to which would be the best for my situation. TIA.

The bucking can be almost eliminated by re-syncing the TBs. Even the Gen IIs need to be adjusted.

On the gear ????, I would say go with the 3.45s. They would probably be the most enjoyable with the amount of power your car is putting out. Assuming you're looking for all around driveability and not just 1/4 mile performance.

Sounds like a 3.73 would be a good bet for you. Most people usually run 3.55. 5th and 6th would still be useable even with a 4.11 or a 4.56, but the first four gears get real short!

6th gear is a 0.5:1 overdrive. Simply put, the driveshaft turns twice each time the crank turns once. So it takes 4th gear's rpm and cuts it in half. That's why I put one in my street/strip machine.

With my T-56, and a 3.89 gear with 26" tall tires I was turning 1700 rpm at 70 mph in 6th.

Have had the 3.45's on every Viper and had no issues. 5th gear is useable and the car doesn't fall flat.

I have a supercharged gen 2 running 5lbs boost with 3.55's and i get too much wheel spin. I have about 500bhp to the wheels and around 650 tq. I want to swap for the 3.33's or the 3.21 setup. I do like the 3.55's though. I can use 6th gear at about 75mph running 18,500rpms.
I don't like the fact that first gear isn't very usable with the supercharger. my wheels spin and spin and i get no where.
My friend has the same setup with 12lbs boost and has the 3.07's. when i ride in his car i feel like the gears could be sped up just a bit. When it all comes down to it you need to decide if you a car that rips around the track (in that case go with a high gear ratio), a car that does awesome in the 1/4 mile (you would want a low gear ratio) or all around. if you want all around i would tell you to get the 3.33 or the 3.45's.
