What to use to clean exhaust off of stripes?

Hey guys,
Finally got my car running great and back on the road. I've been trying to get the exhaust residue off the white stripes on the very back of the car and was wondering if anyone had any input.
Thanks,
Dustin

If your stripes are painted and cleared, try some bug and tar remover. Just don't forget to wax back over them after it's all cleaned up.

I have found that using a polish like Meguire's step 1 polish, applied by hand, works very well. It also leaves a nice clean/prep'd surface to apply your favorite wax or sealant afterwards.

I've has good success with a clay bar. Just be sure to use enough of the detailing spray so that the clay slides smoothly over the paint. It picks up stuff you can't even fell on the paint.

I'm pretty sure he just wants the muck to come off... not the paint or stickers.

A quick go over with a buffer should take care of it.

I have the same problem, tried the bug and tar remover, seems to help.... but doesn't completely remove the residue. let me know if you find something that works.
