I am having my hood repainted on my 1994 Viper RT-10 and the body shop is saying that the hood isn't fiberglass. I could have sworn it was but wanted to know if any of you knew off hand. Thanks.

It doesn't matter unless they're making repairs...you use the same primer and paint..
If they're making repairs...they need to use SMC compatable materials.
I am having stress fractures repaired and they have to get passed the gel coat. When they started sanding they noticed it wasn't traditional fiberglass so they are having the Dupont guy out there tomorrow.

Yeah...cause the "Dupont" guys know everything..
Your hood is RTM (Resin Transfer Molded) but is compatable wth SMC... do not use bondo as it has a different shrink rate to RTM over time.
But then....I'm sure the "Dupont" guy will tell you all this.

Gen 1 hoods are terrible about stress fractures above the front hood latches and around the blower motor intake. If you drive the car, they will crack. If you fix the hood and drive the car, the hood will crack again.
