The real question is whether Larry would ultimately be successful. Whether Larry wants to file a suit for some sort of defamation or injury to his business reputation is up to him based on his attorney's advice. IMHO, there's always a risk when you start badmouthing somebody's business. If so, you better have good documentation to back up your claims...
As Sameer says, the truth is always a defense.
However, the truth is a whore and she is never a cheap date.
I often advise people the pot of gold at the end of the rainbow won't pay for the gas to get there. When they say it is not about the money, I ask them which charity would they like to contribute their potential recovery. Not surprisingly, I've never sent a client's proceeds check to a charity.

I think I'll just quit this site. Doesn't seem to be of much use to anyone anyway. Unless putdowns and slander are what it's all about.
Bye
Ted
Too bad you feel that way Ted.. Just because M2 has had a hand in your car's mods, doesn't mean you have to take such a strong stance when someone posts negative feedback.
If Kenny wasn't posting about his experiences, or worse - if there wasn't any internet to allow us to share experiences, it'd be virtually impossible to get timely information.
Bottom line, an enthusiast forum like this should be about the car owners; with the advertisers serving the owners.

In my experience, the people that want to sue someone because of "principle" are the same ones that only want to do it on contingency...

Not the other way around.
Excellent post. No one has said or implied that Larry Macedo does work as good as he did on my car to every car he works on or gives all his customers the same customer service he gave me, but when mistakes happen and the owner of the company that caused the mistakes treats his customer like Larry treated me...then I would want to know beforehand and go to someone like Sean Roe who had an employee screw up a customers car and Sean fired the employee and gave the customer restitution of the money spent without any excuses or hassles. That is how to run a business. I would not hesitate to go to Sean Roe because of his customer service, which is the total opposite of Macedo's.

Problem is everyone has heard SRK's negative feedback about LM, is it necessary to keep bringing the same shit up. What's up with the multiple thread's talk about fucking gay
