Any year/model will do. I would recommend one of those Ford Racing crate motors you like to use, a 16 speaker stereo system and a rolled and pleated interior.
Should bring 200K easy at the next Barrett Jackson if you are sure to mention it is a Foose car.

Get either a 91 Gen I or a 2007 Gen III. Those are the best years.

I don't know....it's pretty tough to compete with the 2003 - 2005 coupes!

Don't buy a 2007- mine had issues with bad Piston Return Springs. Plus the Muffler Bearings were always squeaking. Drove me nuts.

You guys are dicks! He's gonna buy a Vette! Stay away from the 2000 gts is word around the alley. I really like red and silver car in the classifieds with the roe supercharger. Don't know any history on the car though! But sure looks good and should do better than 11's with a good set of tire's and pulley change could do really good in the 1/4.

Welcome to the Forum, dispite the above comments you did come to the right place. Money will always be an issue when purchasing a Viper. New 08's are running in the 11's stock and have 600 HP. However you will pay for that performance since the cars are new. There are plenty of mods for the other GEN's that will get you in the 11's too. Good luck
