Nice video. You can really see where Shelby's influence come across in the Viper design.

I stopped watching when I saw that the Viper had a V8

Just a misprint on the graphics. The commentator said "V-10".

Both cars driven by Sam Hubinette, so it was a fair test. That Daytona must just not be able to put the power down and hold it. Expected better out of it in the 1/4 though.

Sam was just cruising in both cars. He's much quicker on the track than he was showing. He was about 2-3 seconds slower than what he's capable of doing. Nice comparison though.

Unfortunatly for the Brock Coupe, the clutch fried in the 1/4. This happened to mine when I 'used' it, solution...I had to machine parts and fit a twin race Tilton clutch. The Brock Coupe can pull a mild mod (eg headers, rr's, intake) Viper, but it wasn't set up with the best of tires etc - doh! The 2000 Viper was a nice example and good brake set up.

Good vid, I wonder if the Viper had an exhaust mods like high flow cats and delete rear muffler?

The GTS belongs to one of the so Cal members. It is a 02 and I believe the only mods he has is the BBK and Corsa exhaust.
