It was a Gen II that was either bone stock or had K&Ns and smooth tubes which comes on the ACR so the point is, you can get the car from the factory just as it was raced. Stock tires. I can ask and get the specifics.

What tire was on the 1997 GTS from the factory? I see that most have the Michelin Pilots, but there are a few variations. I also noticed that most of the "stock" ETs posted were run witht he MXX3 which I believe is not the factory tire. In reading about this tire from Michelin, this is what it says:

The Michelin Pilot SX MXX3 is Michelin's Max Performance tire developed for the drivers of the world's ultra high performance sports cars. Pilot SX MXX3 tires were designed to provide a performance level similar to racing slicks with rain grooves cut into them by offering progressive handling, responsiveness and traction on dry roads with ample traction on wet roads. The Pilot SX MXX3 is not intended to be driven in snow.

So, I looked on my car and it has the Pilot Sport and not the above. Just curious to what we are really calling "stock" becuase like i was previously saying the tires would be a big factor in my car. I know I could go some of the times posted with a good tire and not the rocks on my car.

AND NOTE: I am not talking bad about anyones record times but there is absolutley a difference in tires.

I remember Paul saying he was close with his 01 RT at 11.71@119 bone stock with the top off. Funny thing is the reason he ran the Viper was because the Vette was having problems and he didn't want to waste his track time.
