well here is my one and only full nitrous pass the clutch started slipping worse and worse so i only tried 3 times but it was a private track rental so it was just me a 2 other guys runing so i was trying to get the 9 all passes were on 335 hoosier drs and with heating them up i was getting 1.61s on motor until i started having clutch problems.
this pass is on a 225 shot no burnout and no purge (to sofen the hit on the clutch) 1.80 60' and a 6.693@109.83 1/8 and 10.0@145 1/4 and the first spray pass i tried i had a 1.7 60 and a 6.31@114.8 1/8 but the clutch slipped to the limiter at the shift into 4th. even on this full pass it was slipping at the shift in the upper gears and i didnt get on the spray until i was out about 60-100 feet.
the car in that pass with those jets made 818rwhp and 930rwtq at 5700 rpm but with 325-350 jets, it made 931rwhp and 1065rwtq at 5000. the car makes 597rwhp and 605rwtq on motor and ran 10.71@132.10 on motor on the same day thanks again to doug levin for building this and ab wires for making a wire that i cant melt. i will come back with the big slicks and a new clutch and the big shot for a low 9 and possably the fastest 6speed viper n20 pass!.
thnx maybe thats why i go through clutches evry 5-800 miles the clutch there was a spec 3+ but it couldnt take the sudden tq of the nitrous i need a twin disk now hopefully that will work. i still need axles and a quaffe but that wil wait until i break the stock stuff.
ya i see him when i drive north to the races we set up our race 3 times and it rained out all 3 times and then it got push to the back burner with all these other people calling me out to race i have had to drive 75 miles and all directions but east to meet people for set up races!
no, v10tts car is down right now and he is gonna have alot more power. but im the only viper that does race and do digs not just roll races. doug has alot of srt and gen 2s down here but they dont bring there cars out alot or dont race atall the just want to tell there buddies the have 1000hp alot of the tt cars are like that people are scared of them so they sit.
Were you pushing on the clutch at all? That sounded like an auto, great driving skills.
yes, i used the clutch on every shift but i never got off the gas, powershifting like that is rough on equipment but i do whatever i have too to get the most from the car.

Yeah, what you described right there is the PLAGUE of the Viper TT cars. 90% of them never see the light of day and when they are actually raced people complain you're not keeping it in good shape. :rolleyes1"
To that I say "oh well", race it have fun with it take care of it then race it again. Good run and thanks for the vid.

What are you getting for a clutch?
I just put in a Spec twin disc, so far not impressed. First it would not disengage, so I pulled it out and sent it back. They machined it down and sent it back.
After 400 or so miles of easy break in, I'm pretty sure it's slipping on the street. I need to give them a call and discuss it with them.
