Advice on selling my car on Ebay..

Ok I have been contemplating wether I should sell my Evo for the past 2 months. I am finally ready to sell it . I need some advice on how to sell it on Ebay?.... Here it is 2006 Fully Built AMS Evo 9 MR ~ $65,000 - evolutionm.net

How many day action? I am ID verified so I can set a Buy It Now option. Any other place besides Ebay that people go too?

I have never dont this before and I just want to get a little info on whats what.

Nice looking car, but I'm afraid that the market won't get you what your looking for out of it.

Zen garage is the ebay guru around here, but he sells his cars like a maniac, no reserve, and starts bidding at like a dollar for high end cars. Thats probably not the route you want to take.

Do a ten day auction with all the info in your link above. Good luck.

$65K is that for 3 or 4 Evo's? HP numbers (dyno sheet) would help.

lol. It dyno'd at 650awhp. I never took it to the track but the way the car sits right now it will run a 9 sec 1/4. Reason it only has 650awhp is because I did not want much boost lag. All you have to do to make this car over 1000awhp is a 3.5k turbo upgrade (42r) like this one. ... I mean you can still daily drive it, but the boost lag kind of takes the fun out? IDK

mmm.. Your right, I just needed some quick advice. I know a lot of people don't even bid on cars. They wait till the auction is over and try to get it at a better price....

That being said.... I was wondering if I should even set a reserve on it? Or just Buy It Now

650 HP for $65K. Dude, I could buy a blown 2006 Viper with over 700 HP for $65K...why would I want to pay that much for an Evo

You should start the bid low with a reserve to see what people are willing to pay for it even if it doesn't meet reserve.

You should scan the actual AMS invoice as proof of $ put into the car. Scan your dyno sheet also. If you don't have one, get it dynoed again and put it up as proof. As a vouch from the AMS crew in some way would assure the buyer.

As a previous Evo owner, I think your car is done up very well, but it will be hard to get what you're asking for.

I'll need to remember this next time I sell a car...

1) Go to forums that have nothing to do with my POS.
2) Post STUPID question about selling said POS.
3) Get people to view my POS.
4) Finally realize that I am a POS for doing the above 3 steps.

How many people, on the evo forums and this forum, are going to have to tell you that you aren't going to get near what you are asking before you understand?

You should probably look into full coverage insurance on it, and light it on fire.

nice car and i hate to tell you this, but you will never get 65, let alone get a bite over 45.

ebay is a good way of marketing your car but most people will try to steal it for you.

detail the shit out of your listing. scan all receipts and take 40 kickass pictures. dont use a standard ebay listing because it limits your pics. use carad.com. go with a ten day auction, start it on a friday at 8:30 chicago time.

i love no reserve auctions, but it takes gigantic fuckin cahones to do that. you got big balls?

lol... No 65k is not to far fetched. It is not about HP, like I said I could make this over 1000+ AWHP for a meer 3.5k. I was already LOWBALLED and offered 55k for the car but that is not going to happen.

Another thing, the reason I came on here and asked was because most of you I am sure already know what it feels like to sell an expensive car and thought there might be some important details that I might have missed IDK just wanted to make sure I do things right the first time. No big deal it is just an online auction. I would rather take your advice and get flammed then yea...... Anyway, as you can see I am not very popular with -87 points lol, but the advice was worth it

Dont hate appreciate
