What size wastegates are people running on thier vipers?
CPE usually runs anywhere from 5 pounders up to 12 or so IIRC. What boost do you want to run? If you want to run 11 like you had said, I would go with a 7 pounder.
Tial is telling me that the 38 MM wastegates are too small fro my car??
You should probably detail the setup you have as you are asking a lot of questions. If you bought the setup and it was working fine on another car (including the injectors, fuel pump, wastegate and VEC tune), your likely pretty close, including the size of wastegate - so don't mess with it.
A lot of people make a mistake on their wastegates. If you want to run LOW boost you need a Bigger wastegate than to run higher boost on the same car, to a certain extent. If the wastegate is too small, you may get boost creep, I don't recall you having that problem yet.
I can understand your desire to detune it, however. If your really in a hurry to try the car, you can clip the wastegate springs a to lower the boost - just make sure to do it the same to both.
A tuning tip worth a million bucks:
Fill in the VEC maps to 50% richer than the current setting and full retard in the cells above the boost your want to run, that way if you overboost it falls on it's face instead of blowing up.
A very strong word of advice:
Your playing with fire trying to tune this thing yourself on the street, especially based on the questions your asking!! Get to a dyno shop where someone who knows what they are doing can help you.

I figured out the problem. I have "2" different diagrams for the wastegate plumbing. (ie vacuum tubing) The diagram from Tials website doesn't work for me. I had to vent the "bottom" of the wastegate and put boost to the "top". As per a different diag. Now I can manage my boost levels. Kinda sucks now tho. Even when I wasn't over 10 lbs, it still pulled really hard until I had to lift. Now, (8 lbs or less), it seems to be pulling less.
i know a few shops around here if you want to get a dyno i can see if any of them are comfortable tunning it. im getting the SRT4 tuned on thursday in plymoth.

Supposed to be heading south the end of the month to tune it.
