TNT Header??

Hi at all,

one year ago I bought my first Viper here in Germany.
Right now I want to optimize/change some hardware.
For that I need your help please:
There is already a header in the car and a self made cat/cat back exhaust (Magnaflow).
I know that the header is no Belanger, Edelbrock or American Racing.
It looks like B&B but they are coated?!

Than I found a picture of the TNT header (Classifield) and I thought: That's it!!
But, how can I identify them exactly?? Any tip for a greenhorn?

Does anybody now the eMail address from TNT?

Many thanks for support.

Regards
Frank

1. Yes TNT went out of business and their headers, at least under that name, are no longer produced.

2. From what I have been told by a few Viper techs and owners, is that for Gen 1's, the TNT header is the best for picking up torque (the 5-1 style). What year is your car?

3. Edelbrock is supposed to be a close second in performance on the Gen 1's. Once again, only what I have been told in passing.

4. As far as identifying them, most true TNT headers had a name plate on one of the pipes that you can clearly see when looking at the headers on the car.

5. There were several knock offs and custom jobs done in that time frame of the Gen 1's so unless it has the name plate, it could be one of those types as well.

Hope this helps.

hi got one,
many thanks for the information.
I never seen a name plate (like belanger?!), but
I'll look again.

It's a 2001 RT/10.

I understand, that a change to Belanger or B&B
is not needed, because these are good performance
headers?!

Glad I could help.

I hear lots of comments on headers for Gen 2's, but most of the good comments tend to be towards B&B and Belanger. However, the application that these comments were made under was street driving, so take it for what it is worth. I know there are a lot of custom headers for Gen 2's with different applications...so happy hunting.
