Damn impressive Sal. Congrats on raising the bar another notch
Hey soupra noob, noticed your "stated" rwhp in your sig. went from 730-to-800rwhp in just a few minutes...? I'm definitely subscribing to this thread now...by tommorrow morning you should be at 2K+rwhp!! ROFL...
D-man... it's a Mark Williams IRS set up, Drummond built Viper with a Heffner 88mm TT kit. And as you can see, it's not all chopped up like those other "street" stangs and F-bodies.
Im not sure but this could also be the record for the fastest viper overall.
I know lee saunders had been in the 7.70's but it was with a solid rear. Not sure of the exact time of that car but it is possible Sal owns the quickest viper in the world.
1Tony1......bring up the viper drag times and see if im right.
Sal, you continue to bring fear to your competitors when they see the Viper come up and stage. Vipers today at new levels of performance way beyond what they were just a year or two prior. Props to you, very impressive!

Cudaman,
Well said. Vipers will only keep getting faster and better. With the cubes and small piston size we have, these monster motors are just CRAZY on boost.
Keep in mind NO Viper has run twin 105mm thumpers with an anti-lag system and NO2 that revs to 7,500rpm....now that...will make some power. Vipers ARE now and will continue be the platform to beat. In gutted race trim a viper can get down to 2,500lbs.

Too much to get going off the line, I'm interested to see what Lee's car will do with the new set up. Paolo's front mount set up with a super strong Stryker headed motor with the pipes merging into one TB with some 47-88's or 55-91's with proper suspension set up would do some serious damage.

With an Anti-Lag system and LOTS of tuning, it would leave just fine

Speaking of giant turbo's I wonder what ever happened to Joe "dyno daddy" Barret and his single 106 set up?
Anyways, if Lee can run a 7.74@179 with the 76's on medium boost, and Sal run that same time on IRS... there's no doubt 6's are possible with the new twin 90mm front set up ++boost and the right track conditions. Plus Lee is a super nice guy so that alone takes off a tenth or so.

With a brain and some common sense V4C wouldn't sound like such an idiot either.
This came to mind today I felt the need to bring up for the "oops looks like it's possible factor", here is your responce to my post a while back saying the car could run 7.70's on a good track ect, ect.

Have you ever raced anything faster than a bigwheel? Really. Because you have ABSOLUTELY NO IDEA what it takes to drop tenths on a deep 8 second car, let alone half a second.
What makes you think that because he has a slightly larger hotside and a PG that it's going to drop a minimum .6?
I'll go on record saying you won't see anyone bust under a 7.9x until they sack up with a solid axle and some real 88's. ala T6 size.
My money says it happens in 07'.
Happened in 08 but close enough. Besides you a bunch of other non believers said similar things to me and others who thought the same possibilities.
Doubt is deadly, and what you think and act on is what you become, the more anger and dubt you act upon the more it becomes of you. That goes for anything in life. I knew all along the car could run those time, it was only a matter of determination, skill and time. My advice is to chill out for 5 seconds, throttle back on that pride and stop trying to stomp on people just because you know alot about a certain subject.
