Thought I would start a thread and relay my experience at Underground Racing, and share a few pictures of the build and a vid of the car at idle.
First off, thanks to Kevin, KC, and the rest of the crew. These guys make you feel like a friend, not just a customer.
After many phone conversations and emails with Kevin discussing what I want from my GTS now and possibly in the future, I decided on a low compression Proline race build shortblock for a TT setup. I then added the ported heads, the custom 3 pump UGR fuel hat and an AEM along with a Paxton Novi. My immediate goal was to be between 900-1K rwhp on 93 octane, with the ability to go TT in the future without doing any other modifications other than to bolt the TTs on and retune.
Apperance wise I shamelessly copied the powdercoat that Johnny Bravo had applied to his cars engine.

Thanks for the pics to copy off!!!!
Close to the end of my build, I drove out and met the crew and hung out at the shop for the day while the final dyno tuning was being done. I took the car out for a small blast and the car was not boring anymore. I always wanted a GTS, and when I finally got one I was disappointed in the acceleration....NOT ANYMORE!!
I had the car shipped back, and I have been driving the car for 2 weeks now, and have driven it almost every day. I wanted to get some driving time in it before I posted up. I wanted to take the excitement of just receiving the car back, along with not being able to give an adequate real world opinion of the drivability, out of my first post on the build and Underground. That said, the drivability is perfect. This car still drives like stock. It doesnt sound stock though.
Doesnt feel stock when I go WOT either!!
While I was there I was discussing with KC the small things I wanted to do to the car after I got it back, like a wideband, a Raptor, figuring out where to mount them etc. KC showed me what he thought would work, and then did the install of everything I was talking about doing with free labor. KC wanted me to drive and enjoy the car when I got it back, not be working on it.......
I also want to relay in the post that I was very nervous about sending my car to anyone. I knew UGR had a good reputation, but Im a very particular person when it comes to my cars. I was worried about small scratches or scuffs in the paintwork, especially on the panels that had to be removed for the install that most people would not even notice. Rest assured if you are thinking of sending your car, they will treat your car like their own. And the best part is if there are any problems, they will stand behind their work.
Anyway here are a few pictures.............
