Gen 2 Suspension on Gen 1?

Since I haven't had any luck finding some lowering springs (IN STOCK) or coilovers for the Gen 1 and since the search button didn't really help me find the answer. I was wondering if the Gen 2 suspension is interchangeable with the Gen 1? I've found a few sets of springs and coilover setups that would give me some options to choose from. If anyone can help me out that would be great, thanks!

I think the front will work, the back won't. How low you wanna go? Caps won't work for ya?

Just did a little research and looks like the Gen 2's have the "forks" and the Gen 1 doesn't. It's not that I wanna go low but the fact that my koni shocks are pretty worn as it is. So if I'm gonna rebuild the stock shocks why not just go with a full coilover setup with more adjustments?
