I went to look at a 97 viper gts today to purchase. Overall the condition was excellent. One thing that caught my eye though was the passenger side door. When i close it, it seems to make a noise like its not aligned correctly. I didnt notice any bodywork on the door or even the car. Thge door itself shut fine ,but it didnt sound right compared to the driverside door. With that happening does that mean the car has been in an accident? Any info would be appreciated.
Thanks
get it checked out, could just be something loose in the door. Try a carfax, did you ask him if the car has been in a accident? Where are you located, there might be a good viper tech in your area that someone else might recommend.
Carfax is clean and he bought it when it had only 2,xxx miles. It now has
10,xxx miles. I hope its something that just needs to be realigned and has nothing to do with an accident.
I took mine into Valaya Racing for the same problem. They just opened the door grabbed the bottom of the door, and tweaked it up. It only took 2 seconds, and the door has been fine ever since.
