Quick Wheel/Brake question

I have looked thru many threads and have seen some say that if you install the iForged wheels with a 5" lip you can not install a big brake upgrade. Is this true of just iForged or any wheel or is it true at all? Would like to get a 19/20 set of iForged wheels in Essen or Astra with the 5" lip but also want some huge brake behind them. What is the limiting factor, can you run big brakes behing CCW wheels?

No One knows the answer to this? Last thing I want to do is spend $5K on wheels and tires and not be able to upgrade brakes as well. Any input would be appreciated.

I have 5" iForged Daytonas and cannot get larger rear calipers. One solution is Tom's upgrade, but that is all I know...

There are limitations on the offset that can be used with the larger brakes, without them sticking out like some ghetto mobile. Nothing too difficult in understanding that. You may be resticted on the lip size as a result. I know it isn't limited to just iforged either. My 19" Forgeline VR1" have limitations on the rear brake caliper size too. I also have a friend that has the SRT upgrade kit on his GTS and ordered some CCW 505's without telling him his brake set-up and has fitment/clearance issues too.

Best thing to do is simply call the manufacturer or rep and give them the details of your set-up and brake system and they should be able to provide you with your options.

I have Iforged 20" with 5" lip and you cannot do rear brake upgrades. you can barely put anything between them and the stock caliper on teh rear. The fronts do allow a brake upgrade (Atleast SRT fronts) with the wheels I have.

10-4. I appreciate the info greatly. I like the look of teh 5" lip but without function I don't see the point. Would need the bigger brakes with the bigger wheels... hell Dodge paid the engineers a hell of a lot of money to design everything to work together, may just leave it stock.
