I went out to Maxton for a couple of hours today. I talked to their driver and they had a warm up pass of 178mph.
He told me they were pushing about 300 more HP than last year so expect some faster passes.
Unfortunately I was not able to stay to see any other runs.
I'm sure John will post something.
BTW the car up close was definitely looking good. The Red was popping out in the sunlight and the setup on it was all business.
Thanks!!
Still waiting on updates if there is any, hope every thing went well with no tranny breaking.....the mile events are well known for breaking viper transmissions...
yeah, we had some issues. broke tranny on first pass. turned the power down and then had aem issues. never made a full pass. best run was our first run. ran 208 mph coasting thru the lights with a broken 5th gear.

So I take it you will be at the Texas Mile this October.. Hope to see you and your car there.. I will be there for sure..
So what is the fastest standing mile MPH in a Viper?

If so how about street car Viper.. Because I know when you run in the Mile they have a street class and a race car class..
I thought it was a street car.. They have a lot of video of it on the street. I think it is over 4000 pounds! They also did the 230+ on pump E 85 fuel.

Yes it's the RWB Viper. It has and still can run in the street class at any standing mile event but we choose to run it in landspeed classes. Some of the classes and records are noted below. Landspeed Strategy is keeping your name in the record book as long as possible. We still hold the A/BGMS class at Maxton from 2001. It's only 197.3 but has stood for 7 years. Our Viper has tags, insurance and everything legal to run the street class and that's where we will run next time out
I think you've run the mile your first time and broke something in the driveline, right? Did you get a clean run? What was your mph?
