methanol, 1gallon=$1.83

I just wanted to share this. I called them yesterday and they told me drum(155gallons) of methanol is $285.00. which comes to about $1.83 per gallon.

As far as energy goes, it's about $3.66 / gallon equivalent gasoline.

Ok maybe that was little too harsh.

I have been looking for methanol for my personal use and it was very hard to find some place local. when i did find a place it was pretty expensive and than i found a company where i can buy drum for $285.00. I'm not selling anything here, I just wanted to share this for people who are looking to buy methanol. I'm going to get a drum and split with few guys and they all run methanol and spend quite a bit on this stuff year around.

Hey no problem. also, is drum 55gallons or 155gallons? if it is 55gallons than it comes to $5.18. If it is 55gallons, mine as well just pay 7bucks for gallon.

Let's se now......ah.....$285 divided by 55 is....er.....4 times 5 equals.....er, no 3 times five equals.....er ......I guess ........well....oopps! I guess it would be JUST a little more than $1.83 a gallon......I think??!!!

I sell it out here in HI for $6 a gallon. But then again shipping is a little bit more for me then most of you guys. What is the shelf life of Methanol if it's sealed correctly?
