i was going 45mph and it looked like he was doing the same. at the last second i tried to go left but he still got me. so it would've been worse. the under carriage of both sides of the car was finished!
i always told myself that i'd want the EXACT same car again, but there's just something about stepping out of the car, smelling that airbag scent that "stings the nostrils...in a good way", and looking at the aftermath that changed my mind. All i could think of is that i'd never wash that car again lol! that being said i'm gonna look for an '06 solid blue coupe. i know its not the same, but i've been tossing it around for a while.
I'm glad you got out alright. Sad to see such a nice car go though. I remember when you first posted the pics with your new wheels. It was a beautiful car.
Sorry to hear about your loss but glad that you escaped unharmed.
Ok, potentially stupid question time. What happens to a car when an insurance company totals it? Do they take posession and sell it for whatever they can get? I ask as some of the parts look to be in ok shape and are worth good money (e.g., hood, motor). Does the car owner get to have them if they'd like?
Sorry to hear. Did that happen in Austin? Lmk if I can help.
actually it happened in S.A. i have classes there on friday so i visit my parents thursday night. it happened a few hours before finals.
to the rest of you, thanks again for the kind words! i'll be back in the loop when i find the next one! til then my viper sticker on the back of my Super Duty will hold me over!
Sorry hear about the car, but really glad youa re okay. Since most of us are firmly in the 40's, unlike me who is in his 30's for two more months you could have whacked your back or the like. That said, can I get the plastic cap pieces for the side sills while it is on the lift? How about the fog light on the pasenger side?
Wow, glad you're ok and the impact wasn't on your side of the car to make things worse. Sorry for yur loss and all the best on the coupe search... perhaps a peak at the new 08's might help curb the sadness.

A peak at the '08's has me fantasizing about a solid SSG coupe. However, unless i win the Lotto, I'm not there yet. The '06 i can do in solid blue.
Downunder, the wheels are Iforged Daytonas. Got them from Matt@Speedwerkz. He had them on his silver GTS. the only thing that set mine apart from most was that i got the whole wheel chrome. the majority of Iforged setups are poilshed. I believe his were polished face with chrome lips. If you do a search for "Iforged" on the site you should see quite a few pics of Iforged setups. I'm reluctant to post pics of mine when it was running cause it makes it harder to justify getting a GenIII.
