New (to me) Viper Owner

Hello,

I've been looking for a Viper GTS ever since my 2006 Evo IX MR was totalled by a drunk driver while it was parked at my office earlier this year.



After looking at various Vipers and getting recommendations from members of VA, I've finally got a 96 GTS. So far, I love the car.

Thanks guys. Picked it up for $40k.

It's been tracked many times, but is in great condition. Needs some work though... need new rear window shocks, the driver window goes up slow, the passenger window doesn't move at all, missing passenger side fog light cover.

The engine's been rebuilt 8k miles ago, 36k total.

Mods to the car are:

Brakeman large brakes
Fire suppression system
Roll cage
Lap timer
Accu-sump
Larger aftermarket radiator
Upgraded oil pan

Would like to get an aftermarket exhaust system and plan to track this car and take it for drives in the mountain passes as much as work and wife allows. After several years, would like to go TT and make it a dedicated drag/street car.

Get the rear glass lift supports on e-bay , lube the window tracks on the driver side and fix the other window , those are all easy to repair.

Viper Spray, thanks for the link. Just went ahead did the "buy it now" on it. I currenlty have both door panels off and am in the process of trying to fix the windows.

I do feel like I got a great deal on it since I plan on tracking it and may have needed to make the mods that were already on it. Plus, I bought it from the original owner with no carfax history and I love the B/W color.
