If you'd watched the video of the re-run of Lee's quarter-finals run, you'll see that he red-lighted.

Lee needed every microsecond at the start, that silver Trans Am really had its' suspension set up nice. It comes off the line perfectly each time.

I believe the announcer was in love with Lee's car and didn't care to hide it. Congrats to Lee and Heffner.

Congrats Lee and Heffner,
I liked the old format better.......This is supposed to be the fastest pumpgas car, not the fastest reaction to a protree.
Sucks that you can cover the field by almost half a second and not be the winner. Goes to show you that they changed the format so all these guys wouldn't get embarrassed by Heff every year lol.
Wait to go again Lee and Heff, keep raising the bar...

Reaction time is just part of the deal. The only reason he went red is because he went in deep. It's almost impossible to redlight a pro tree if you don't anticipate, when fully staged. In drag racing, reaction time will always play a role, as it should

I guess this just means the rest of the guys need to work a little harder.
