Got the AEM….

….I just haven’t installed it yet. Thanks to Larry Macedo for holding on to it for a week before I could pick it up.

I hope to pick up 5rwhp or so because now it will be tuned for 93 vs 91. I will run a bit more timing, It's very conservative.

10's here I come....

Good deal. Been using the AEM for a while now. Was S/Cd with ROE. Now I am going to be N/A for a bit with 70mm TB's(intake port matched of course), 1.7 roller rockers, Custom Titanium 3in exhaust, and a return fuel system with 75lb injectors. I am dynoing tomorrow.

That's why I didn't put the cam in my car...I'm thinking long run. Although your car is STILL going to make mine look like a toy.

Sell off the Roe, go N/A until you can to the TT system... great idea! Let us know how your car turns out. 1000rwhp is just a pair of hair dryers away.

I'll let you guys know how the install goes, I'll try to take pics then post a "How To"

Yep, one step closer to boost....but many steps to go (brakes, drive train, fuel system, main caps…and…turbo system).

JD was kind enough to offer me phone support on the tuning. The poor guy doesn't realized what he just volunteered himself for...I'm going to be calling and e-mailing him alot.... I'm going to try and tune it on the street first. If needs be he also offered that if I drive up…he’d tune it, I just pay dyno time, how kick ass is that. Thanks for the hook-up JD!

If I had to buy this AEM over again: Buying new…call RSI. If you want a used/referb call Larry.

If anyone wants a Split Second let me know the first $200 (obo) takes it. I think they are great for tuning. RSI has made over 1,000rwhp on a TT Viper and over 650rwhp N/A with these. Lots of Paxton cars are running them. It’s a great box, it just doesn’t have all features I need for the crazy TT system I am going to build.

Right after I get it installed and tuned. I'm going to do some test runs with the G-Tech before I head out to the track. This 2 step could be useful.

Cool Bobby. I hope to see the install write up. The central Florida owners need to have an unofficial track day some time soon, even if it is at Orlando Speedworld.

Make sure and keep us posted on the AEM install and tuning. I have decided I'm going to go ahead and go this route instead of an SCT for future plans as well.

Who is this Larry fellow you are talking about? Buying new would be nice, but i'm one of those poor viper owners on a budget.

BTW, I should be going to pick up my viper memorial day weekend and see what gear's I have if you still wanted to swap.

Just like you FF I’m not a rich Viper owner myself….I bought the Refurbished

I think the SCT, Split Second and VEC are best for applications from stock to 800rwhp. I could be wrong though. I know RickSRT10 uses a split sec on his 900rwhp DLM S/C SRT-10. I feel the AEM is the best all around system, tons of features. The data logging, I/O and boost control(by gear) is mostly what I’m after.

I would keep the Split Sec even with a solid roller cam, it really is a great unit. It just doesn't fit my needs for 1500rwhp, twin turbo, monster, that I want to build.

As far as the gear go, if it's 3.55's that would be the best gear for this car. 3.73's I'd have to think about. If it's 4.11's....I don't want to say no because it could be a TON of fun I'd be in 5th gear at the end of the 1/4 mi I dyno'd 565rwhp 610rwtq N/A tuned for 91 and before I removed the cats. It's a safe bet that I'm at 570rwhp / 610rwtq now. When I tune for 93 it will be a bit more aggressive; I hope to get about 575rwhp+ out of it after the AEM install.

I had my choice last weekend. Sweat my ass off in the garage in 95 degree plus heat installing the AEM….or go to the beach and watch my wife bounce around in a Bikini. Thus, I did what any logical man would do, I went to the BEACH!!!
