Was wondering if anyone knows how i might start a 1994 dodge viper.Went to start and battery was almost dead, and alarm set now i find both my key fobs are inop. How can i get the beast to start? ANy thoughts .Thanks
What exactly is it doing? Is the engine turning over at all? Charge or get a new battery. The alarm will sorta "arm" when you are pluging in a new battery but a simple click of the keyfob will disarm it.
well thats the broblem has new battery but both my key fobs dont work and it is stuck in a storage shed .I went to start it and the batttery was almost dead it turned over then clicked and the alarm set.No the alarm wont unset, and i dont have a fob thats working. It starts for a secoind and dies. The alarm set.Just wondered if the was a way to turn it off but..... Thanks for the info.
Hold both buttons down for about 5 seconds and car will beep. FOB's will then be programed to car. This assumes battery is at full charge too so you can reprogram. Pop hod, let charge up, reprogram FOB's, then start car. If it doesn't start then, you post what it is doing. You cannot diagnose a non starting car until it has a good charged battery my friend. If that doesn't work you'll have to reset/deactivate the alarm. I don't have the exact instructions but it involves grounding out the green wire underneath the driver side knee bolster.

1. Under the left knee panel (left side of car stereo) there is a single dark green wire with a black rubber molded connector on the end.
2. Turn the ignition switch to the "on" position.
3. Connect that green wire to a ground.
4. Press the button on the transmitter to set the code. If you have both transmitters, click that button as well to set it.
5. The car locks will cycle confirming they are set.
6. Take the ground off the green wire and put everything back together.
