Souping up a Viper?

Okay obviously I am new to vipers. I have spend some time building up supras to 1000hp+ and now want to switch it over and give it a try on a viper. I can't seem to find any information on it anywhere. I seem to be lost. There has got to be many people out there putting turbos on their vipers; no? Any direction to some general knowledge of the rt/10 engine. How strong is the stock block, stock cam duration, possible supplier of aftermarket parts, swapping a srt10 into a 99 chassis. I have decided to focus my build on a 99 rt/10 chassis. Any experience or guidance will be very much appreciated.
Thanks

New to internet forums, you are?

But to answer your question, amazingly, nobody here has modified their cars at all. Our motto is "All Stock, All the Time".

You might want to try and actually "read" some forums posts first.

First of all, being from Winnipeg originally, how can you stand to drive your Viper on those roads????

Do a search on Twin Turbo Viper and there should be plenty of info that pops up...

Otherwise, call any of the top tuners.. they are in the tuner section..

A.R.T. - Heffner - Underground - Hennessey - that would be a start.

Being in the supra market, have you dealt with Chris Johnson of Boost Logic in Austin. He also has done these cars.

I'm not bashing you at all. I'm simply baffled that you can find your way to viperally.com, but can't find the Search button, nor any of the thousands of posts in the many different forums.

Saying you can't find posts on modifying vipers here is like saying you can't find pics of Britney Spears gash on the internet.

How about telling us a little more specifically what you are trying to accomplish?

[edit] yea, and then do what Peak states in the previous post...for starters.

Thanks. I have dealt with boost logic before. Any online performance sites I can order parts from, that you can think of? I am actually being told to stay away from hennessey.

You can get anything you need through several places...

check out the viper links thread on this section that was just updated. That is a good start.

What are you wanting to accomplish?? DIY turbo kit? Supercharger? Big HP NA build?

What are you looking to do? Superchargers start around 7k for a DIY and twin turbos start around 12.5k for a DIY.

1200hp, I am looking for specs on the engines rt/10 srt10 how they differ, just tons of questions. But I will search for it first and anything I can find after a few days I will post. Any performance parts shops out there specialize in vipers?

I assuming that the bottom end won't hold up to much. I will need to have it built, along with the heads. But basically srt10 or rt10 really much of a difference?

A stock Viper motor will hold between 900-1000 RWHP if it is a 99 or earlier. After 99, all Vipers got cast pistons. CPE has a car that has completed 8200 miles since November with around 800 RWHP (sometimes more). Jody Gleason drives the piss out of that car, so you can be sure those were hard miles. SRT heads were a little better, but both can be ported by Greg Good to very good result. 1200 RWHP is not hard to achieve and could be done with a CPE sidemount for 20k or so installed depending on options + engine build. Granted, at that point you could make more like 1300-1400 RWHP, maybe more.
