northwest engineering for their garbage seat lowering kit. what a piece of fucking garbage. im ready to throw the whole damn seat into the lake along with the socket and flashlight that are already there. it would be easier putting the MFer in there with wood glue and a nail gun.

im just as tall as you and fit better with out it that i do now with it just sitting in there not bolted in. i could have made better brackets with some tin snips, some tin roof and a soldering gun. who ever made these things needs to be shot. usually when you pay 200 bucks for 5 dollars worth of shit you get really good directions so you dont think you got fucked, not the case either with this pos.

Maybe something was wrong with yours? I had the NW kit in my car and while it was a pain to install, it fit OK. Maybe it got bent in shipping or they sent the wrong parts?

i went to see american wedding with the seat lowered, only 2 bolts on though, one front and opposite side rear and damn is it uncomfortable. i lost what little leg room i had, for this thing to help you would have to be 4 foot of torso and 2 foot of leg. i have a seat kit for sale, 50 bucks shipped

If this is the one inch kit...punt it...but if this is the fixed 2" seat lowering kit, I can tell you precisely how to install it painlessly, and it will be so comfortable you will be sleeping in your Viper...OK...not really...but it will rock!

its the 2 inch, and its installed right, and it sucks. ive tried it with shims and without shims and it sucks. i didnt have an issue with headroom, my problem was that my knee rests just above the notch on the door where its supposed to rest and it bugs me with the stock seat setup, the lowering kit didnt fix that and it took away from the legroom, i fit in the car with a stock seat even with a helmet so im taking it out today.

50 bucks??

Matt...You have to shem the crap out of the front of the seat...I literally used two pieces of 3/4" x 2 1/2" pipe to raise the front of the seat...Never been more comfy in my RT!

Up here in MN, we have done this 2" drop to fours RT's now...and all happy owners...with the front of the seat elevated...

You are correct about $200 for $5 worth of parts...No way the R&D for these parts even cost $200...

i have 13 washers and longer bolts, its shimmed about 1.3 inches.it just doesnt work for me. i hope my nitrous install goes better, seems like everything with my car is a giant headache. now if i can just get ahold of larry or tom. i want to spray today!!
